When I was first told I had breast cancer, I think I just shut down and immediately went into shock. The thought of "Why is this happening to me?" kept going over and over inside my head. And then I met Dr. Kolluri. The moment Dr. Kolluri walked into the exam room I was at ease. I immediately fell in love with her, as did my daughter, which was on the phone during my visit and exam. Dr. Kolluri went ABOVE and BEYOND to explain exactly what was going on; being sure to keep my daughter informed and answered any, and all questions. I find Dr. Kolluri to be a very caring and empathetic individual. I felt so at ease after visiting with her. She took my concerns and explained in a very detailed way (even drawing pictures) so that I could understand completely. She explained the disease and how she felt my process would go and welcomed me into the circle so that I could have a say in my recovery. I immediately felt the warmth and compassion from her and her entire team. Dr. Kolluri is an exceptional doctor. I am so grateful to have found her. I don't think I would have made it through all this if it had not been for her infectious encouragement on my outcome. She was confident, knowledgeable, and caring. Dr. Kolluri took her time with me (2 hours that first appt. - unheard of); listened to my concerns, my fears, and my hopes; explained the disease and how she felt my process should go; and gave me every bit of knowledge she could impart (and I could take in) so that I could have a say in my recovery. I immediately felt like we were a team. I was not alone in the unknown any longer. I find Dr. Kolluri to be innovative and exceptional as a doctor, while at the same time, being a witty, caring, empowering, and loving human being. I am so grateful to have found her. Dr. Kolluri was my last attempt to help uncover the issue I was having - I was in terrible pain nursing my baby. After seeing 8 lactation consultants and 3 different pediatricians - Dr. Kolluri was the answer! After ONE visit, a deep discussion and plan of care created, I found myself pain-free in 2-3 weeks following Dr. Kolluri's recommendations. She is smart, direct and determined to help. While I hope to not have any future concerns/breast issues, she would be my first call if I needed help. I cannot recommend her enough!!

I was so stressed with a BRCA1 diagnosis and Dr. Kolluri helped me more than I can say. She was knowledgeable, kind, empathetic, and made me feel empowered and in control of all of my decisions. Am a huge fan of Dr. Kolluri! All my visits to her Austin office were detailed weighing in with science, risks, statistics, and care that I felt she was truly a partner in helping define next steps to take as we navigated various test results: MRI, sonogram, and mammograms. I asked for a referral for a second opinion and without skipping a beat she provided a name of another doctor. She truly wanted me to feel comfortable with decisions I was faced to make. I decided to go forward with a lumpectomy. Despite my anxiety over the process, she always provided sound counsel AND I was impressed with the care taken to keep the incision scar minimal. As my doctor, has such a bright and empathetic personality topped with a good sense of humor that I would highly recommend to anyone in their journey with breast cancer.

I was diagnosed with breast cancer at 33 years old. Dr Kolluri was amazing at explaining every detail of my type of breast cancer and future steps to my cancer treatment. She advocated for me and got me the best referrals to make a great team of doctors that made me feel cared for and confident. She gave me support to make my own health decisions and gave me a realistic honest review of all my choices. When it came time for surgery, the work Dr Kolluri did was phenomenal ... she took my esthetics into consideration, made a precise and minimal incision that resulted in clean margins and great healing. I cannot express into words how thankful I am for such a badass surgeon like doctor Kolluri. I am forever grateful!

Words can't describe our experience w/ Dr. Kolluri. We crossed paths with Dr. Kolluri after my teenage daughter informed me she had found a lump on her breast. After monitoring for a while it continue to grow. After being seen by her pediatrician we were referred for imaging. Imaging confirmed a decent sized mass. After that we met with Dr. Kolluri. As soon as she entered the exam room, I just knew that she was the right choice. She immediately put my daughter at ease. She took the time to sit down and simply talk with us. She asked my daughter numerous questions, none of which pertained to the reason she was there, but rather just getting to know who she was as a person. After she took time doing that she shifted to the medical aspect as to why we were there and proceeded with her exam. After the exam she again sat down and talked with us about the plan of care as to how she would like to proceed. Ultimately my daughter ended up getting a biopsy at a later date and eventually needed surgery. The day of surgery my daughter was very anxious. However, after seeing Dr Kolluri first thing before any prep was done gave her peace of mind. Surgery was done and Dr Kolluri came out to update us and even came to check on her post recovery before we left. I couldn't have asked for a better surgeon for my daughter. The scarring was so minimal that it is not even noticeable unless you know she had surgery. Dr. Kolluri is simply one of a kind!

She is a very caring doctor who doesn't rush you and spends time going over your history, both medical and mental. She is very knowledgeable and current on the latest treatments.
