SMS TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Service Overview
Wildflower Breast Center PLLC (“Wildflower”) provides a non-clinical SMS messaging service used solely for referral coordination with external clinics and healthcare partners.
This SMS line is used to confirm receipt of referral documents, coordinate scheduling logistics, and support administrative communication. This service does not provide medical advice or clinical communication. All medical information is handled exclusively through our HIPAA-compliant platform, Spruce.
Cost
Message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile carrier plan.
Message Frequency
Message frequency varies. All messages are human-to-human and initiated for referral coordination only.
User Consent
By communicating with our SMS number, you consent to receive non-clinical, referral-related text messages from Wildflower. Consent is not required to receive care.
Prohibited Content
Do not send any personal health information (PHI) or medical details.
This SMS line may not be used for diagnosis, treatment, medical discussion, or sharing of clinical documents.
Opt-Out Instructions
To stop receiving SMS messages, reply STOP at any time. You will receive one final message confirming that you have opted out. No additional messages will be sent unless you opt in again or initiate contact.
Help Instructions
For help reply HELP. You will receive a message with support information and alternative ways to contact our office.
Emergency Use Prohibited
This SMS line cannot be used for urgent medical needs or emergencies. For emergencies, call 911 or seek immediate medical attention.
Carrier Liability
Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
User Responsibilities Users must:
Ensure the accuracy of the phone number they provide.
Avoid sending PHI or confidential medical details.
Use SMS only for the administrative purposes described above.
Modification of Terms
Wildflower may update these Terms & Conditions at any time. The most current version will be available here on our website.

Clinical Communication
This SMS line is not used for medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, or transmission of PHI.
All patient-specific communication must occur through Spruce, our HIPAA-compliant messaging platform.
SMS Privacy Policy
Overview
This SMS Privacy Policy explains how Wildflower Breast Center PLLC (“Wildflower”) manages information exchanged via SMS under Microsoft Teams Phone SMS. This policy applies only to SMS interactions and not to clinical communications conducted through Spruce or other platforms.
Information We Collect via SMS
We may collect:
• Phone numbers used to contact our SMS line
• Timestamps and basic message metadata
• Administrative information sent voluntarily (for example, confirmation of receipt of a referral)
• Non-clinical referral coordination details
Information We Do Not Collect
Wildflower does not collect, request, or store the following through SMS:
• Personal health information (PHI)
• Medical history
• Diagnostic details
• Treatment information
• Insurance information
• Any protected health information as defined by HIPAA
All PHI and clinical data are handled exclusively through our HIPAA-compliant system, Spruce.
Use of SMS Data
SMS information is used only to:
• Coordinate referral documentation
• Confirm receipt of administrative information
• Support non-clinical communication with partner clinics
• Maintain audit trails for administrative workflow
Data Sharing
Wildflower does not sell, rent, or share SMS data with third parties for marketing. Data may be shared with service providers (including Microsoft) strictly for the purpose of message delivery and system functionality.
Security Measures
SMS is not a HIPAA-secure channel.
Wildflower uses administrative controls to prevent users from sending PHI by SMS. Internal staff are trained to redirect PHI-related communication to Spruce immediately.
Data Retention
SMS logs may be retained for operational and compliance purposes in accordance with Wildflower’s retention schedule and applicable law.
No PHI is retained via SMS.
User Rights
Users may:
• Opt out of SMS at any time by replying STOP
• Request clarification about this policy
• Redirect communication to Spruce at any time for secure messaging
Separation of SMS and HIPAA Communication
Clinical communication must occur only on Spruce.
SMS is strictly for non-clinical administrative coordination and may not contain any medical or identifying health information.
